Food security is a pressing issue worldwide. To address this challenge, it's crucial to find ways to use land efficiently and sustainably, while also increasing the effectiveness of food production. On a local scale, access to fresh, nutritious, and affordable food plays a significant role in an individual's health and well-being. As cities grow, the ability to produce food in limited spaces is becoming increasingly vital.
This program introduces students to two key areas of transformation in food production: technology and small-scale urban farming. Throughout the program, students will step into the role of agri-entrepreneurs, aiming to maximise the profits of their own virtual urban farms.
