Coding: Drones

From flying to protecting—use drones to safeguard our coastlines.

Students will explore real life conservation science projects, and step into the role of citizen scientists, using drones to simulate real-world research on Victorian coastlines and marine environments. They will learn to operate drones, plan flights, and use block coding to execute specific missions, simulating the collection of valuable data for conservation and research programs.

By the end, students will gain hands-on experience combining technology, coding, and environmental science to monitor ecosystems and protect local wildlife—developing practical skills and a deeper connection to their environment.
